The Fate of Boruto: Momoshiki’s Takeover, Code’s Revenge

Boruto’s Fate: Momoshiki’s Plan, Code’s Revenge, and Konoha’s Struggles

Momoshiki is back, and he has decided Boruto Uzumaki’s fate. When that day comes, Momoshiki shall take over and live Boruto’s life. The story begins after Daemon slaughters Code until he gives up and chooses to run away. But Code is not alone; he also brings Bug, who has been with him for a long time. Although initially, Bug is annoyed because he had been dragged into Code’s problems, Code states that it was part of his rescue rather than having to die. The place where Code and Bug are located is unknown, but it looks like a desert. Right now, they are in a state of severe injury as a result of fighting Daemon. This marks the beginning of Code’s grudge against Kawaki and Eida. He decides to kill Kawaki, Eida, and several people valuable to them, all because of the grudge and heartache suffered by Code.

Before Code continues his intentions, we return to see Shikamaru and others discussing several essential things. The conversation starts with Shikamaru asking about Kawaki’s Karma, which has been restored. Kawaki admits that it was all Amado’s doing without his permission. Shikamaru already understood and suspected that what Amado did had other motives. Shikamaru even urges Kawaki to rethink whether another motive behind the Karma was implanted into Kawaki without his permission. Maybe Amado had said that it was because of Kawaki’s desire to protect Naruto, but Shikamaru, a genius, always thinks two steps ahead. Therefore, he is still suspicious of Amado’s purpose.

Do you know Amado’s other reason? We will discuss it at the end of the article. Kawaki also has the same curiosity as Shikamaru but is pessimistic, especially when it is proven that Code has captured Amado. Kawaki even assumes that Amado is no longer necessary to them and might be dead. When Kawaki says this, Naruto tells him he should not have said that. Kawaki then impolitely tells Shikamaru, “Hey Shika, you’re secretly glad, aren’t you, to not have to deal with that shifty bastard?” Because of that remark, Shikamaru becomes angry with Kawaki. But when Naruto tells him to stop, Kawaki says something unexpected to Shikamaru: “Worthless and upset, what a great combo, right?”

This is very exciting. But at the same time, a shinobi arrives and reports that there is an urgent call for Shikamaru, and it is from Amado. It is good news from Amado, who had been with Eida and is now coming to Konoha from the Snow Country using the train. Shikamaru’s first response to hearing that Amado is still alive surprises him a little. Shikamaru even confirms with Amado that no sign of Code’s claw marks is nearby. This is the correct response, especially since Shikamaru might have been traumatized after Code marked his body with claw marks, allowing him to sneak into Konoha unnoticed.

Amado tells Shikamaru that Eida has now cut ties with Code. In other words, Eida will not help Code, and Code has undoubtedly lost his greatest ally. Besides that, it is confirmed that Eida has accepted Shikamaru’s offer to move to Konoha with Daemon. Shikamaru still cannot believe it and is surprised after getting this information from Amado. Amado says it is accurate, and Konoha should prepare a good room for Eida.

After the phone conversation, Shikamaru panics when he learns that Daemon is also with Eida. Shikamaru had already found out that Daemon had helped Code when fighting Kawaki, leaving Kawaki helpless. Despite this, Amado explains that Daemon is Eida’s younger brother. Initially, Amado and Shikamaru contradict each other about Daemon coming with Eida, but in the end, they realize they have no choice and no authority to refuse.

Unfortunately, Amado deceives Konoha using clever sentences and words. Shikamaru finally accepted the decision, and Amado also mentioned that he rescinded the Code’s limiters. At the end of their chat, Amado remarks that Shikamaru is a game piece, piques Eida’s curiosity. However, since Amado is a skilled speaker, he manages to make the situation go according to his plan. Eida also reminds Amado not to forget to help her with her relationship with Kawaki. However, Eida threatens to kill Amado if things go wrong between her and Kawaki.

Amado is shocked by Eida’s threat. Eida admits she is annoyed with Amado for allowing her to enchant the entire human race. The reason for her anger is likely frustration. With this ability, everyone who sees her, male or female, is automatically attracted and fascinated by her without their will or desire. This creates a big problem in Eida’s relationships because she cannot tell if someone genuinely likes her. This power creates feelings of loneliness and frustration for Eida, as she can never experience a genuine or authentic relationship. Although this power may seem like an advantage, for Eida, it is more of a curse. It prevents her from feeling true love and genuine bonding with the people around her.

Do you get it now? When Eida confesses that she likes Kawaki, Kawaki responds similarly to Code, who declares his love for Eida and is rejected. How complicated is this cyborg love story?

After the call ends, Shikamaru is seen talking over the phone and ordering Naruto to come to the Hokage office, along with Team 7 and Kawaki. However, one thing is for sure: I don’t understand who the person Shikamaru ordered.

The scene then switches to Boruto, preparing to use Sasuke’s headband before heading to the Hokage office. Before Boruto leaves the house, we see his mother, Hinata, calling him. She asks if it’s true that he received the mission, and Boruto confirms that the mission comes directly from Shikamaru. Team 7 has been on hiatus due to Boruto’s Karma, but unexpectedly, Hinata starts crying. She is still traumatized by Boruto’s death on a previous mission and is worried that Boruto might not return home after this mission. Boruto apologizes for making her worry. But the concern is not just from Hinata—Himawari, Boruto’s sister, also shows a worried expression as she watches her brother leave. In the end, Boruto reassures them by saying that although he has died once before, he promises to return home.

And then, something surprising happens—the goat is back. When Boruto came out of the house, he unexpectedly met Momoshiki. Momoshiki doubted him and said he was irresponsible to his mother because he had promised to go home after completing his mission. However, Boruto’s response made the situation funny when he called Momoshiki a “freeloader.” Boruto also confirmed with Momoshiki whether he would not resurrect anymore, and Boruto was confused as to why Momoshiki was still there.

This is where a vital conversation occurs. Momoshiki asks Boruto, “Let me ask you, why do you still cling to your meaningless existence when you know your future holds nothing but despair? What I told you—that you’re going to lose everything—that moment is rapidly approaching. You shall despair and lose your will to live enough to want to escape this world. And when that day comes, I shall take over and live Uzumaki Boruto’s life for you.”

This shouldn’t be a spoiler: Boruto will lose everything, including his family and Kawaki, who causes Boruto and Kawaki’s positions to switch. This will be a long story, and we should continue with what Momoshiki said. In conclusion, Momoshiki declares to Boruto not to worry because, in the end, Momoshiki doesn’t care about resurrecting anymore. Possessing Boruto’s body will yield the same results. Momoshiki also states that it will happen soon, and Boruto will always be his vessel.

Let me give a little spoiler: what Momoshiki said is likely to come true. The fact can’t be denied, as Momoshiki has visions of the future. However, it can still be inevitable. In Chapter 13, Kashin Koji awakened a Shinjutsu called “Jippo,” in conclusion, Boruto’s future will be as Momoshiki predicted. With Jippo’s ability, the timeline or destiny that Boruto will face may change. Although not 100% certain, Jippo’s ability to see the future will also help provide information to change the predetermined destiny line. In other words, Boruto must try even harder to avoid his evil fate.

Before Momoshiki leaves, he emphasizes that he will not let Boruto die anymore because Boruto is his precious vessel, and no one else should have it. Although Boruto threatens Momoshiki, saying he will suffer in the future, Boruto’s destiny has already been determined. One of the paths to that timeline in destiny is Boruto’s hard work, as explained earlier.

At the same time, Mitsuki and Sarada arrive to see Boruto, but after his conversation with Momoshiki, Boruto looks frustrated. He even shouts that he will determine his fate, causing Sarada to panic. She thinks Boruto looks even more excited. Not only that, but Mitsuki also feels that even if Boruto dies and comes back or becomes an Otsutsuki, he is still Boruto.

When Boruto leaves home for his mission, Himawari talks to her mother and says that if she becomes a ninja, maybe she can help Boruto. However, Himawari asks a question that surprises Hinata: how will Hinata feel if Himawari becomes a ninja? Will she become more anxious, or will it be the opposite? Although, in the end, Himawari will become a ninja and even become a Kurama vessel, sadly, Hinata does not know this because, in the future, both Hinata and Naruto will be sealed in the Daikokuten Dimension.

When we see Boruto again as they head to the Hokage office, the scene shifts to Code, who escaped from Eida’s hiding place.
